Fireflies species are a kind of amazing species that have features different from every other species because of their ability to make light and utilize it to see at night.
Since fireflies can produce light, the light should come from the current that they’re able to use their body to make.
If firefly could generate electricity to twinkle light at night, then it can also be using the energy to do other things and may only be using part of the energy to make light to see.
If making electricity can be seen in firefly flies, other species could also have the ability to produce that energy but maybe utilizing it differently.
Since the chemicals that the body of animals utilize come from food, then the primary producer species which are the food makers in an ecosystem own the chemical energy that consumer species utilize within their bodies. Among these chemicals are the ones that animals can use to obtain electricity. Carbohydrates which can show the presence of some amount of current will speak for that
After studies, I found out that if you can actually take a carbohydrate seed and use enzymes to break it so that it forms a transparent pure glucose, if you can notice suspensions come up later and decanted to the bottom, then you have found the extract of the chemical in carbohydrates that produces electricity continuously at all temperature and pressure
If you can have food extract containing a lot of these ions, then you can use them to generate a self sustaining electricity

After careful looking at the abdomen on a firefly, I could suggest that firefly has special cells that induce current as they contract and relax. As the stored chemical energy can be converted to electrical energy by some special cells in the body, the contractions and relaxations of these cells induce the current which are trapped to produce the light.
